Past Event: 2025 Annual Trunk-or-treat
Each year, Hale County Hospital hosts a community Trunk or Treat event that brings families together for a fun and safe Halloween celebration. Hospital departments participate by decorating themed trunks and handing out treats to children throughout the event. We hosted our latest Trunk or Treat event this past October 30th, 2025 from 3:00PM-6:00PM.
In addition to the decorated trunks, the event features bounce houses, inflatable slides, and family-friendly activities for children of all ages. Staff members from across the hospital work together to create a welcoming environment where families can enjoy time together and connect with members of the Hale County Hospital team.
Our annual Trunk or Treat is one of the many ways Hale County Hospital strives to engage with and support the community we proudly serve, creating opportunities for neighbors to come together and celebrate.
Past Event: 3rd Annual Main Street Community Festival
The 3rd Annual Main Street Community Festival, hosted by Hale County Hospital, took place on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 11 AM to 6 PM in Greensboro, AL.
This year’s festival served as a fundraiser for Hale County Hospital’s much-needed ER renovations, as the emergency room had not been updated since the hospital opened in 1963. All proceeds went directly toward the renovation fund, helping support improvements to emergency care for the community.
Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed live performances by local Hale County artists, children’s activities, food, and a variety of local vendors. Vendor participation and sponsorships contributed to the overall success of the event:
Vendor Fees: Sponsorship Levels:
Artist Spot – $35 · Silver: $150–$499
10x10 Space – $40 · Gold: $500–$1,499
10x20 Space – $70 · Platinum: $1,500+
Food Vendor – $90 Check out this year’s sponsorship perks on the Google Form
Thank you to everyone who helped make our festival a success!
Past Event: Diabetes Education Class
Hale County Hospital was pleased to continue its partnership with the University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences to offer a free Diabetic Education class for the community on Tuesday, February 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the hospital.
The class was led by Registered Dietitian Suzanne Henson and LPN Kim McMillan and covered essential information on managing diabetes through proper diet, including practical tips for grocery shopping and meal planning. Participants also learned simple exercises to stay active, which help keep blood sugar levels low and provide numerous additional health benefits.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for individuals to connect with others managing diabetes and gain insights that may not have been provided at the time of diagnosis.
For more information, individuals were encouraged to contact the Hale County Hospital Clinic or Moundville Medical Associates.
